Anne Marie "Nancy" Wheeler, J.D., is an attorney in practice in Silver Spring, Maryland, and is co-author of the book "The Counselor and the Law: A Guide to Legal and Ethical Practice." Additionally, she has made contributions in other books and articles on this topic. She has extensive experience in managed care contracting, licensure, and health care privacy issues (including HIPAA regulations); and she has provided consultation involving legal and ethical issues for both the American Counseling Association and the American Psychiatric Association. Nancy is also a regular presenter at conferences for therapists throughout the United States.

Matthew D. Selekman, MSW, LCSW, is a family therapist and addictions counselor in private practice and the co-director of Partners for Collaborative Solutions, an international family therapy training and consulting firm in Evanston, Illinois. Matthew received the Walter S. Rosenberry Award in 1999, 2000, and 2006 from The Children's Hospital in Denver, Colorado, for having made significant contributions to the fields of psychiatry and the behavioral sciences. Matthew is the author of numerous family therapy articles and of five professional books. He has presented workshops on his Collaborative Strengths-Based Brief Therapy Approach with challenging children, adolescents, and adults extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, South America, Europe, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, and Australia.
